Tips for Success:

• All medication permission must go through the nurse's office for approval. Medications will not be given without orders from a licensed health care provider. This also applies to over-the-counter medications (cough drops, Tylenol, etc)

• Medications that can possibly be given at home must be given at home, i.e. Three doses per day antibiotics will be given at home.

• Students may carry their inhaler if they have written permission from a healthcare provider. The inhaler must be labeled with a pharmacy label.

• Students may carry their epi-pen if they have written permission from a healthcare provider; however, an epi-pen must also be provided to the school nurse. The epi-pen must be labeled with a pharmacy label.

• If your child has special circumstance not covered by these guidelines, please call the nurse (330-538-2257 X1405).

• Disregarding district medication policies will result in consequences as deemed necessary by school administrators and the school resource officer.
