2. May I visit the Law School?
Yes, you may. For purposes of submitting enrollment documents and payment of school fees, please proceed to the main gate of the school. While we are currently operating remotely in part, the College of Law remains available most weekdays to connect virtually with prospective J.D. applicants, and limited in-person visits are possible.
3. What degrees does the Law School offer?
JMCFI Law offers the 4-year and 5-year Juris Doctor Program. Upon successful completion of the Bar exam, individuals holding the J.D. degree are qualified to practice law in the Philippines.

5. Can a student enrolled under the old curriculum shift to the revised law curriculum?
Yes. The revised model curriculum shall apply only to newly admitted students at the time of its implementation; provided that, existing students under the former model curriculum may, with LEB approval and upon recommendation of the LEI, enroll under the revised model curriculum; provided further that, these enrollees shall be allowed to graduate not earlier than the Academic Year 2024-2025. (Section 22(c), LEBMO No. 24)
So old students may shift to the new curriculum for as long as they will not be graduating by 2025.

7. What are the admission requirements?

New students and transferees will also be scheduled for an interview with Dean Israelito P. Torreon.
8. What are your application deadlines?
For the First Semester of AY 2022-2023, the Law School can accept late enrollees up to August 15. For students who wish to enroll in the Second Semester, the Law School will accept and evaluate applications in the first week of December 2022. Early application is strongly encouraged.
9. How would I know if my application has been completed?
The Law School utilizes the Jotform online system; thus, shortly after you apply for admission and pay the downpayment fee of Php5,000.00, you will receive an email with your username and password to gain online access to the PRISM.
10. What is your application fee? How may I submit payment?
The application/downpayment fee is Php5,000.00 payable by Palawan Express, Gcash, MLhuiller, Paymaya, Cebuana, bank transfer, among others. Details on the payment method may be accessed here: https://jmc.edu.ph/payment/.
11. How do I update my application?
Requests for changes in the status of applications must be sent in writing to the Law School Office through law@jmc.edu.ph
12. Do you require a PhiLSAT?
No, the Law School does not require its applicants to take the PhiLSAT or any kind of entrance examination.
13. How much is the tuition fee?
The tuition fee is Php1,250.00 per unit with a miscellaneous fee of Php12,500 per semester, more or less. The minimum downpayment upon enrollment is Php5,000.00

14. How do I apply for scholarships?
The Law School awards a limited number of merit-based scholarships and Gift of Education Scholarship to entering students each year.
The applicant must submit a copy of the following documents:
a. Certificate of Graduation and proof of Latin Honors (if graduated) or Certification from the current school indicating graduating status and qualification for Latin honors OR PRC Certification for Board Topnotchers
b. Certificate of Good Moral Character
c. A 500- to 1000-word essay on why the applicant deserves the scholarship

15. What is the class schedule?
For the 4-year program, classes are held every Monday-Friday (5:30PM-9:30PM)
For the 5-year program, classes are conducted every Friday (5:30PM-9:30PM), Saturday (8:00AM-5:00PM) and Sunday (1:00PM-5:00PM).
16. Do you enroll transfer students?
Yes, J.D. students who have earned units in another law school and who are in good standing, may apply for transfer admission. As a general rule, only subjects with grades of 80% and above may be credited, unless otherwise allowed by the Dean.
17. How are classes conducted? Online or face-to-face?
We will adopt flexible/blended learning. The majority of the classes will be held online and examinations may be conducted face-to-face, depending on the discretion of the law professors.
Zoom is used for live sessions while for assignments, quizzes, exams and other class activities, the professors use Ulearning or Google Classroom. 18. Do you offer a refresher program?
Unfortunately, we do not have any program yet for mandatory refreshers for those who intend to take the Bar exam. However, should you wish to freshen up your knowledge on a voluntary basis, you are most welcome to enroll in JMC.
