Our school is located in the northern part of Sicao, one of the earliest developed areas in Taiwan, boasting unique historical, geographical, and cultural conditions. The natural ecology, industries, and humanities are also quite abundant. To the west lies the Taiwan Strait, with Yanshui River and Luer-men River converging here. The internationally renowned wetland, Sicao Lake, is within the jurisdiction of Taijiang National Park. The remaining three sides are surrounded by the Sicao Wildlife Conservation Area and Tainan Science and Technology Industrial Park. Fishing villages and technology factories coexist, blending tradition and technology, creating a harmonious and mutually beneficial environment.
The residents within the school district used to be fishing village settlements, relying on aquaculture and salt drying for their livelihood. The local temples served as the center of their beliefs and daily lives. There is a relatively high proportion of single-parent families, multi-generational households, children of foreign spouses, and low-income households. The majority of residents belong to the labor class with three generations living together. Most of the residents have modest incomes, and many parents have a lower socio-economic status. Therefore, there is a need to improve parenting skills and academic guidance for the children, and the school carries the great responsibility of providing quality education.
