We have a comprehensive program that meet each youth's needs individually. Starting at admission we begin to build an inventory of hopes, dreams, desires, and preferences. Our strengths/needs assessment supports an understanding of who our new youth is and how to support them with their strengths at the center of supports.
We also provide residents the opportunity to sit with their new team and go over what they would like to accomplish at Jordan House with multiple preference assessments including a diet assessment that ask them not just what their allergies are, but what they like to eat, when they like to eat and if they want to participate in their home life experience in the kitchen. Then we meet for House Meetings every two weeks to ensure we are all on the same page and get feedback on meals. Everything we do at Jordan House elicits engagement, preferences, voice and choice.
Jordan House knows being part of a community and building an understanding of interconnectedness creates better citizens. We all play a part in the positive outcomes for individuals and communities. Residents at Jordan House are encouraged to participate in the People Who Care after school program that have regular community projects and other great activities.
