Biography

Jhonel is a licensed clinical social worker in New Jersey who has experience with providing individual, family, and group therapy for children, youth, and adults. She has a special interest in working with those impacted by trauma, adversity, and cultural- race-based stress and trauma or oppression. She aims to provide a warm, supportive, and collaborative space to explore the things that are most important to her clients.

Jhonel uses Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF- CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) practices in therapy. In addition, Jhonel has a strong interest in restorative yoga practices to support healing. These approaches address:
