Advocacy Skills

An earlier version of Human Rights 104, this session takes you through a step by step process to advocate for human rights.

This workshop, facilitated by Rocky Ward of Native Counselling Services, provides community advocates with skills in understanding how to support community members as active and appreciative listeners. Using a participatory learning approach, we explore ways that will help or hinder community members in opening up and sharing their issues and how to provide effective supports centred on human relationship.
