In the seventh semester of your academic program at Jakarta Global University, you are required to deliver a presentation of your independent research proposal to the departmental faculty during a scheduled defense proposal colloquium, in fulfillment of the graduation stipulations set forth by the Department of Electrical Engineering.
In your proposal defense presentation, you have a maximum of 15 minutes to deliver a concise overview of your work. This will be followed by a 45-minute question-and-answer session with the faculty. Presentations are strictly timed, and you will be stopped at the 15-minute mark, even if unfinished. Therefore, design your slides carefully for brevity and rehearse your delivery to stay within the limit.
The key sections your presentation must address are as follows:

Problem and Significance or Background of Studies– Outline the problem domain and explain its importance to the field of construction. Identify key stakeholders (1-2 slides).

Research Question, Scope, and Limitations – State your research question. Define the scope, constraints, and limitations of your study (1-2 slides).
Research Objectives, Design, Methodology, and Approach – Detail your objectives, overall design, data collection methods, and analysis techniques (3-4 slides).
Questions – Thank the audience, invite questions, and provide your contact details (1 slide).
