Welcome to J-Fit Physical Therapy! We look forward to partnering with you on your recovery journey. To help make your first visit smooth and seamless, here is everything you need to know before stepping into our clinic.
Your initial evaluation is fully focused on understanding your unique situation and creating a roadmap for your recovery. Here is how your 1-on-1 session breaks down:
In-Depth Consultation: Your therapist will sit down with you to discuss your medical history, current symptoms, lifestyle habits, and personal goals.
Comprehensive Movement Assessment: We perform detailed evaluations of your posture, joint range of motion, muscle strength, and movement patterns to pinpoint the root cause of your pain.
Hands-On Treatment: You won't just talk—you'll get care on day one. Your therapist will begin targeted treatment, which may include manual therapy or guided therapeutic exercises.
Personalized Plan of Care: Before you leave, you will receive a custom treatment roadmap outlined around your schedule, complete with targeted home exercises.
Language & Communication Support: Clear communication is essential for your care. To ensure you fully understand your condition and treatment options, we have Spanish and Korean translation services available upon request.
In-Network Insurance Providers
We are currently in-network with the following major insurance carriers:
Medicare Part B
Medicaid
UnitedHealthcare
UMR
Cigna
Aetna
Out-of-Network & Self-Pay Options
If your provider is not listed above, we can still treat you! We offer transparent self-pay rates and can provide itemized superbills upon request for potential out-of-network reimbursement from your insurer. Please contact our front desk to verify your coverage details before your visit.
Do I need a doctor's referral or prescription for physical therapy?
Depending on your state's Direct Access laws and your specific insurance policy, you may be able to start treatment without a physician's referral. However, some insurance plans (such as Medicare Part B or Medicaid) may require a doctor's prescription. Contact us, and we will verify your specific insurance requirements for you!
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting athletic clothing (like shorts, t-shirts, yoga pants) and supportive athletic shoes. Make sure the area being evaluated (e.g., knee, shoulder) can be easily accessed by your therapist.
How long does each appointment last?
Your initial evaluation will take approximately 60 minutes. Follow-up treatment sessions are typically 45 to 60 minutes, spent entirely 1-on-1 with your physical therapist.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring your Photo ID, Insurance Card, Doctor’s Referral/Prescription (if applicable), and your filled-out patient forms (if not submitted online).
Take the first step toward living a pain-free, active life.
