No Jewish vital records from Verkhnedneprovsk seem to have survived as this paragraph is written in early 2025. We can hope that some will eventually come to light. The only known surviving contemporaneous town records with Jewish names that I am aware of at this time are:
the Verkhnedneprovsk 1906 Duma voters’ list (in Cyrillic print - if you can't decipher Cyrillic, Google Translate or other translation tools might be able to assist), and
a 1918 list of Jewish voters who had the right to vote in the elections of the community council in 1918 (handwritten Cyrillic)
If you are aware of other resources, please get in touch! (Contact details below.)
To convert family names to Cyrillic, use the Transliterating English to Russian in One Step Tool on Steve Morse's website (www.stevemorse.org).
Try looking for traces of ancestors in other places. For example, in one researcher's family, some Verkhnedneprovsk residents moved to Ekaterinoslav and other towns in the years before they emigrated, or had a vital event such as a marriage recorded there. Many Jewish vital records for Ekaterinoslav do exist (in large part thanks to the work of Alex Krakovsky) and huge numbers of them (as well as for other Ukrainian towns) have already been indexed by JewishGen.org. So, you might find records there or in other towns.
Your contribution to help facilitate the important JewishGen Ukraine Research Division's acquisition and transcription project would be gratefully appreciated.
