It is not known exactly when the Pavlohrad Jewish Cemetery was established but it is estimated to have been built in the first half of the 19th century as the earliest known tombstone is dated 1833. The latest tombstone found is dated 2010. The cemetery is located across the road from 65A Alekseeva Street, and the perimeter length is 593 meters. It is surrounded by an iron-rod fence and seems to be well maintained. There is a shop located on the property. There are more than 1,000 gravestones with around 400 of these being Jewish and found in the Jewish sections. The rest of the gravestones are Christian.
