The Uditsky family's connection to Moshny traces back to the the 1795 Revision List. At that time, Feivish Uditsky had passed away, leaving behind his son Berko, who was 31 years old. Berko was listed as a trader dealing in "hot spirits" and lived in Moshny with his wife, Sura. In the 1816 Revision List, Berko was noted as the head of the Moshny Jewish Kahal, likely responsible for tasks like keeping vital records and handling taxes for the community. According to that document, Berko had a son named Samson Leib from his first marriage and two daughters with his current wife, Khaya. Samson Leib married Beyla Gudya, and they had seven children, including sons named Chaim, Moshe Gersh, Pinkhas, and Eliyahu. The descendants of these sons began migrating to the United States around 1890. Chaim's family settled in Philadelphia, PA, while Moshe Gersh's descendants made their home in Fall River, MA. Eliyahu's family chose to reside in Providence, RI. This migration marked the beginning of the Uditsky family's journey across different parts of the United States.
Through the power of genealogy, the Uditsky Family has reconnected and keeps in touch via a private FaceBook Group and periodic reunions.
