Jetmore Methodist Church. Constructed in 1917.
Background
The Jetmore Methodist Episcopal Church was formed in 1885, though it did not have a formal building yet. Through the years many buildings were built and used, however it wasn’t until March 1, 1917 that construction began on the current church building.
On April of 1968 the Methodist Episcopal and the United Brethren churches merged, changing the name of the church to Jetmore United Methodist Church until a recent split of the church.
On August 1st of 2023 the church formally became a part of the newly formed Global Methodist Church. The church took a member vote and has now changed the name to the Jetmore Methodist Church.
