JELV: Where It All Begins

The Jessamine Early Learning Village serves the youngest members of the JCS Family, welcoming new learners with open arms. We are the “front door” to the district, the first introduction to a vibrant and dedicated school system. Here, at the very beginning of it all, students learn and grow together, socially, emotionally, and academically. The JELV symbol incorporates colors from each school in the district, signaling the unity and potential of each incoming class of students. To signify the deep connections to family and home, you will find a familiar shape in the upper left-hand corner.

BES: Cultivating Leadership

Students at Brookside Elementary are encouraged to be self-starting, independent change-makers. To support student success, our learning community is built around engagement, inquiry, and active participation. Our symbol represents students, rising to the challenge, and growing as they become the next generation of leaders.

RED: Learning Without Limits

Red Oak Elementary’s culture is built on respecting differences, doing your best, and treating others the way you wish to be treated. Here, teachers are dedicated to showing students that their potential is limitless. Our symbol demonstrates equality and respect for others as students and staff work together, rising above obstacles to reach our fullest potential.

WAR: Excellence Through Relationships

Kids come first at Warner Elementary. Our culture is built around the pursuit of individual excellence and helping students to become the best unique versions of themselves. To do this, we make an investment in each and every student on a personal level. Our symbol reflects the Warner community’s commitment to build authentic relationships where students and staff meet in the middle.

NES: An Uplifting Community

The Nicholasville Elementary community is built on a foundation of love and understanding. We make a personal investment in each and every student and we believe that the relationships that we build are as important as the lessons that we teach. The NES symbol represents the support and strength that are at the center of our school family, providing a foundation for students to reach their full potential.

RDES: Soaring to Success

Jessamine County Schools rebranded the district in order to weave a family tapestry unifying all of our schools yet symbolizing the uniqueness of our educational institutions. The Rosenwald-Dunbar story weaves in to the Jessamine County tapestry a rich culture of high expectations, innovation, and teamwork focused on excellence for ALL. The Rosenwald Dunbar Elementary symbol encapsulates the unified and relentless pursuit of each individual's personal best both at the student and staff level. The Rosenwald-Dunbar Elementary shield is a diamond with 2 diagonal bars. The bars are positioned in an upward trajectory, with one bar representing students and the other staff, symbolizing the unified pursuit of each individual's personal best.

WES: A Cultural Crossroads

Diversity of thought, culture and origin is at the heart of Wilmore Elementary. Here, students learn from their teachers and from each other, sharing a multitude of life experiences that enhance learning with every interaction. Our symbol represents the intersection of ideas and backgrounds, forming a compass rose, guiding students to success.
