At Jericho, we believe artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance learning when used responsibly, ethically, and equitably. Guided by input from our committees, educators, students, and families, we’ve identified six core principles that shape how we approach AI in our schools.

Protecting student and staff data is non-negotiable.
We follow federal and state laws - including CIPA, COPPA, FERPA, and Ed Law 2-d to safeguard privacy and maintain trust.

AI is evolving, and so are we.
We regularly review our practices, gather feedback, and refine our approach to ensure AI continues to serve students’ best interests.
Note:
These beliefs guide our decisions rather than prescribe one-size-fits-all rules. AI will look different across subjects—what’s effective in English may differ from how it’s used in Math or Science. Our goal is to collaborate with educators and the community to keep these beliefs relevant and meaningful.
