Empowering Our Youth
Empowering Our Youth
In 2020, Dominique Calloway founded the Juvenile Empowerment Project (J.E.P) to address the complex issues around juvenile incarceration in Texas. The Juvenile Empowerment Project is committed to greatly reducing juvenile incarceration and excessive juvenile probations in the state of Texas for vulnerable and underprivileged youth. As a non profit organization J.E.P provides resources, counseling, and assistance to the underprivileged youth population for those who are in foster homes, single parent households, in juvenile detention, and or on juvenile probation. Along with empowering our youth with assistance, J.E.P provides mentorship as the youth re-enter society. J.E.P's organization is committed to Empowering our youth in America. Our website uses reports, data, short films, and other media to explore our underprivileged youth and circumstances leading to juvenile incarceration. J.E.P works with advocates and policy makers on juvenile criminal justice reform. Our experts conduct counseling from students, teachers, faith leaders, community groups, probation officers, and professional associations. Although this work is crucial, so is the support from individuals and groups who want to see a systematic change in our youth's success.
