This week in science we will be doing a few egg labs as well as learning about simple machines. In our egg labs, we are going to be testing the permeability of the egg membranes. We will explore how different substances may or may not enter the egg cell by performing a few different tests and taking observations. When our labs and experiments have concluded, the remainder of class time will be focused on learning about simple machines. We will explore wheels, levers, pullys, inclined planes, and catapults. Students should bring in some materials from home to help them build their catapult at the end of the week (see email about more information).
