" To inspire everyone within the Jena Band of Chahta Okla to reclaim their Native voices, and speak with respect and honor for their ancestors."
-Nicholas Charleston
Our goal is to enable people who are interested in the Jena Chahta language and culture to access engaging and useful information about it. To maintain a record of the language as accurately as possible with the hope to preserve it, while still being user-friendly. To inspire everyone within the Jena Band of Chahta Okla to reclaim their Native voices, and speak with respect and honor for their ancestors. To communicate with other Chahta speakers, and strengthen the bond that all Chahta people share via our language.
