Data the app accesses

Photos and Media

The app requests access to photos and media files only to allow the user to back up their images.

• Media access is used solely for copying images selected by the user.

• Images are not analysed, indexed, or scanned

• No media is accessed without user action

Location Information (EXIF Metadata Only)

The app may read location information embedded in image files (EXIF metadata).

Important clarifications:

• The app does not access device GPS or live location

• This data is used solely to preserve image information during backup
  
  

• EXIF location data is not extracted, stored separately, or shared
  
  

Backup destination (SMB / Network Storage)

• Images are backed up only to SMB (network) locations configured by the user
  
  

• The app does not upload data to the developer’s servers
  
  

• The developer does not have access to any backed-up images or metadata
  
  

• Network credentials are used only to connect to the user’s chosen SMB share
  
  

Data collection and sharing

The app:

• Google Play Services

Permissions explanation

The app requests the following permissions:

•   Photos & Videos Access (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)

•   - Access photos and videos to back them up to your server

•   Internet & Network (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE)

•   - Connect to your SMB/NAS server and check network connectivity

•   Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)

•   - Show sync progress and completion notifications

•   Background Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC)

•   - Continue uploads when app is minimized or screen is off

•   Location Metadata (ACCESS_MEDIA_LOCATION)

•   - Preserve GPS location data stored in your photos

•   Auto-Sync (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM)

•   - Schedule automatic backups and restart schedules after device reboot

•   Keep Screen On (WAKE_LOCK)

•   - Optional: Prevent screen sleep during transfers

•   Subscription (BILLING)

•   - Process subscription purchases through Google Play
  
  

Permissions are used only for core backup functionality.

Data retention

The app does not retain personal data. All images and metadata remain on the user’s device or chosen network storage.

Children’s privacy

This app is not specifically directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.
