Publishers have seen a huge shift in sales patterns and revenues. There has been an insatiable demand for online content, many have opened up paywalls, and pageviews, engagement and new subscription starts (both print and digital) have been on the rise.

Retail home delivery has increased, while sales from travel outlets have been decimated. The slowdown in advertising bookings is a huge challenge and most are still trying to ascertain how much revenue they stand to lose, but to offset losses publishers are turning those more likely to advertise such as streaming services, food delivery and e-commerce.
