✅ Prepare for a Smooth and Successful Appointment

At Jefferson Mobile Notary, we want your notary experience to be fast, easy, and stress-free. Here’s a quick guide to help you get ready before we arrive:

1. Have Valid Photo ID Ready

We are required by law to verify your identity. Acceptable forms of government-issued photo identification include:

• Driver’s License or State ID

• Passport

• Military ID

• Green Card or other government-issued ID
  💡 Tip: Make sure your ID is not expired and the name matches the documents being signed.

2. Do Not Sign Documents in Advance

Please do not sign any documents before the notary arrives.

We must witness the signing in person to notarize it legally. Documents signed ahead of time cannot be notarized.

3. Have All Pages of the Document Present

Even if only one page needs notarization, all accompanying pages should be available and in order.

📎 Attachments, instructions, or referenced documents should also be included.

4. Be Sure All Signers Are Present

If the document requires multiple signatures, all parties must be present and bring their ID.

If someone cannot attend, let us know ahead of time — we may be able to coordinate separate appointments.

5. Know the Type of Notarization You Need

If possible, understand whether you need:

• An Acknowledgment (you confirm you signed voluntarily), or

• A Jurat (you swear the contents are true and sign in front of the notary)

6. Ensure a Quiet, Well-Lit Space

Choose a location free from distractions for signing. This helps ensure accuracy and confidentiality.

💼 For real estate closings or loan signings, a table or desk with chairs is ideal.

7. Have Payment Ready

We accept the following forms of payment:

• Cash

• Credit/Debit Card

• Mobile Payment (Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, etc.)
