Assistant Director of Bands
Olivia Cathey graduated from Henderson State University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Music Education. She plays trumpet and horn. Prior to her appointment at Jefferson, Ms. Cathey taught for 7 successful years at Pittsburg. Ms. Cathey assists with all bands at Jefferson, teaches Beginning Brass classes, directs the Jazz Band, and is the JJHS Assistant One Act Play director,
When not teaching, Ms. Cathey enjoys attending musical theater and concerts, playing games with friends, reading, trying new restaurants, and doing arts and crafts, AND she is an avid Formula 1 fan.

Mr. Trumps is a graduate of Northwestern State University where he studied with Dr. Oliver Molina, Dr. Spencer Jones, and Ken Green. Prior to coming to Jefferson, Mr. Trumps has served as a camp teacher at various schools in Louisiana. In 2025, he served as director of the Vernon Parish Indoor Percussion Program.
In his free time, he enjoys, hiking and spending time with family.

Mrs. Trevelyn Marsh has been a Colorguard Director for 20 years
Mrs. Marsh has been an educator for 22 years. She teaches 8th Grade RLA at Jefferson Junior High, where she is also the JJHS OAP Director and the JJHS UIL Coordinator.
Mrs. Marsh is married to Mr. Marsh, the director of bands. They have two amazing children, Harmony Head and Kadence Marsh, both of whom study Music Education at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA.
