Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year!  The mission of Wilt Elementary School is to educate and provide a safe learning environment for all students. We believe that all students will experience positive growth in social/emotional behaviors and attitudes and will be challenged to reach high levels of academic achievement. We believe that parents, students, and educators, working with the community, can create a safe and equitable learning environment in which all students can learn and become productive members of society. We offer a well-rounded, challenging learning environment where students will be responsible for their learning and success. At Wilt, we maintain a nurturing environment with active family involvement.

The school motto is “Wilt Elementary: Where Effort Becomes Excellence!” This motto drives the philosophy of students and staff. We believe that every student, through hard work and effort, will achieve at high levels. Our students are given the opportunity to showcase their talents and contributions to the school community as part of our instructional activities and program. The extracurricular programs offered include sports programs and other programs designed to appeal to a variety of student interests. Teachers work hard to ensure student mastery of Common Core Standards and Kentucky Core Content. We believe that active engagement in learning activities is essential to student success.
