School can be very hard and stressful to children and adolescents. Some may struggle academically while others may be finding themselves working hard to fit in. I am here to help!

Hello, my name is Jonisha Nicholson and I am the Mental Health Practitioner for Wheeler Elementary School. I have previously worked at Seven Counties, as well as, The Brook Hospital. I have a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling and am licensed in Kentucky as a LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor). I have over 7 years of experience working with children and adolescents in both the school and home settings.

My hours at Wheeler during NTI are from 9:00am to 1:00pm through out the weekday, however this can be changed to accommodate child, parent, and school needs. Before I see any child at Wheeler, I will need a permission slip to be filled out by the guardian. This is a free service offered through JCPS. If you have any questions regarding what type of therapeutic work I do, or what behaviors I work with, please do not hesitate to reach out.
