Dr. McCrobie was asked to take over as the Orchestra Director in the Spring of 2024 to replace the director who opted to leave after their hiring and first semester.

Dr. McCrobie serves as the Director of Bands at Valley, but has a long history of working with Orchestra ensembles.  Under his leadership the Valley Band program has tripled in size and has built a strong infrastructure for continued growth and success.

Though the Band and Orchestra programs are two very seperate groups, Dr. McCrobie has already created a working relationship where both ensembles are intricate to the success of the other.  This method of collaboration has inspired musicians to take a look at music that previously was not known to them.

The future of String Music at Valley is bright!  We encourage all those that wish to explore the rich and diverse world of Orchestral Music to reach out to Dr. McCrobie.
