YMCA Summer Camp Opportunity (FREE) 

FREE Teen Vibe Summer Camps. There are 6 camps throughout the summer at various YMCA’s, including Republic Bank Foundation and Northeast in Louisville, and Floyd County in Indiana. Our Teen Vibe Camps utilize the national evidenced-based curriculum Love Notes. Love Notes addresses healthy relationship skills, communication skills, pregnancy, sexual risk avoidance, consent, dating violence, and many other topics. Additionally, Love Notes is both trauma-informed and LGBTQ+ inclusive; it focuses on a young person’s aspiration, thereby building assets and strengthening protective factors which have been linked to positive outcomes.

The African in America Soccer Camp 2024 

The African in America summer soccer camp of 2024 is here. This is the 7th year running this free soccer camp for the youth ages 8 to 18, boys and girls. Our goal is to bring all the youth across all cultures together. We teach them life skills and help build self-confidence through soccer.

June 10th to August 2nd, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8 am to 11 am

Meyzeek Beta Club News 

All 7th grade Beta Club members that submitted their hours sheets have been added to the 24-25 Google Classroom. The Meyzeek Junior Beta Club volunteered for over 6,000 hours of community service this school year! All 6th grade Beta Club invites have also been mailed! Great job Beta Club! 

2024 Early Fall Athletic Sign Up 

Early Fall athletic teams are taking signups now!  Whether you're interested in Cross Country, Golf, Tackle Football, or Volleyball, signups are now open and waiting for you. Don't wait, take the first step today and complete the Google Form to provide your contact information and the sport of your choice.  Keep an eye on your email for updates on tryouts and first practice or tryouts dates.  These four teams will start in the middle of July. 

Coaching Opportunities for Fall 2024 

Are you someone who is passionate about helping young athletes reach their full potential? Do you have the knowledge and motivation to inspire and guide them toward success? If you or someone you know possesses these qualities, we would love to welcome you to our team of coaches at Meyzeek. Our district-paid coaching positions offer a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community and make a positive impact in the lives of our athletes. 1.  Volleyball: Tryouts and practices will begin during the middle of July and continue until the last week of September. 

2. Cross Country: Practices will begin during the middle of July and continue until the last week of October. 

3. Tennis: Practices will begin after school resumes and ends on the last week of September. 

4. Cheer: Tryouts and practices will begin after school resumes and end in mid-February. The cheerleaders will only cheer at home games.

5. JV Golf Coach - Tryouts/Practices/Season starts in the middle of July and the season ends at the end of September.  Paid Position.
