Mrs. Dennis is available Monday-Friday from 8:00am-3:00pm each day. She can be reached by email or phone as well as through the Counseling Support Request Form.

Emergency: If you are in crisis (ANY painful emotion for which you need support) text HOME to 741741. Within minutes a crisis counselor will text you back to start a conversation.

Mrs. Dennis is the Mental Health Practitioner for Mary Ryan Academy. She is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Kentucky as well as Indiana. Mrs. Dennis joined the JCPS team in February 2020 after 7 years of experience in the field of child welfare as both a social worker and a mental health therapist. She is married with three children and enjoys being outside with her family and pets.

Mental Health Tips During NTI

Hi everyone! I am so excited to be a part of the Mary Ryan Academy team this year! I am here to support you through this crazy time so don't hesitate to reach out. The best way to do this is by filling out the Counseling Support Request Form. This lets me know that you need to speak with me or one of the school psychs! We are all learning this new way of doing things so be patient with yourself and others and give yourself grace. No one expects you to be perfect and you have a whole team of people willing and able to help you succeed!

I am going to utilize this space to provide resources that you can access whenever you need to. These resources will help you to build resiliency and coping skills as well as give your brain a break when it needs one! Click on my bitmoji to access the virtual MHP office. Once there click around and familiarize yourself with it. There are links to a ton of cool videos and resources embedded in the images on the page. Utilize these whenever you want or need to. You can also use the daily check in to let us know how things are going for you!
