Liberty Students & Families,

Welcome back!! We miss seeing each of you and hope you have been staying healthy at home.

We have tried contacting each of you. If you have not heard from us, please call the school immediately at 502-485-7100 so we can ensure you are ready to start on Tuesday.

The majority of JCPS schools will be offering curbside service for breakfast and lunch. You must sign-up to participate. Instructions are listed under Resources tab above.

Here are some important things to assist with having a great first week back:

• The first day of of quarter 3 is January 15, 2021. A copy of the student’s daily schedule is listed below. The NTI school day will look similar to the normal school day. Students will be required to log on daily and engage in instruction everyday. Students will not be online the entire time; however, students need to log on daily at the beginning of each class to receive credit for attendance in each class, individual class instruction, and assistance. Students will participate in instruction using Google Classroom. Students will access their Google Classrooms using their JCPS login and password. The login and password is the same every year regardless of the JCPS school attended. If a student needs help logging in, there are steps on the JCPS website to help reset passwords. If a student needs help with his or her email address, they can call the school for assistance.

• Students will access their class schedules by using Student Portal. Student portal can also be accessed using the JCPS login and password. Students can find this portal from the JCPS Homepage on the JCPS website. Go to https://www.jefferson.kyschools.us/ and click on STUDENTS at the top of the page. From there choose the LOGINS box. Next, scroll down the list of Quick Clicks to STUDENT PORTAL. Enter your login and password info to access your Student Portal account. Please be patient…schedules are not accessible right now as the district works to set up Google Classrooms! They will be accessible very soon!

• Additional instructions and guidance will be given during the 1^st period Advisory class regarding NTI 2.0 expectations for participation and learning. To access your teacher's NTI page (your classwork), click on the word "Teachers" above in the red banner, and then click on your teacher's name. This will take you to your class announcements and assignments for the week.

• Be sure to sign up for SchoolCNXT. SchoolCNXT will be the primary source of communication and information from the school and from your classes.

• Please use the following link to complete enrollment forms and other documents for the 2020-21 school year - Parent Portal. If you do not have a Parent Portal account, please click here.

If you need additional help from staff, click on staff directory, support staff, OR administrators, and then the name of the person you are needing as a resource.

Lastly Students, remember to follow the 7P's during NTI:

• • • Prompt - turn in assignments EVERY week.

    • Participate - get in contact with your teachers (email, text, phone call, google meet, etc.) EVERY day for each period.

    • Polite - be nice to your family members and school staff. This are stressful times. Remember, we are here to help.

    • Product - complete your assignments EVERY day.

    • Prepared - follow your daily schedule, log into your teacher's NTI page, complete assignments, and turn them in EVERY week.

    • Positive Mental Attitude - take time for yourself. Take a walk, listen to music, sing, laugh, dance....use this time with yourself to reflect on your goals.

    • Perseverance - when you do not feel like doing anything, make yourself follow the schedule you established. If you did not establish a schedule, DO IT NOW! EVERY assignment counts.
