Too often students label themselves as “not a math person,” only because it is what they have heard so often from those in the world around them. This slogan empowers students to engage in their learning with confidence in their ability to change the narrative around Math. Math to the Power of Me, communicates a message of equitable opportunity by emphasizing personal empowerment, inclusivity, and ownership over learning. It sends a powerful message that Math is for everyone, and that every JCPS student, regardless of their grade level, background, or abilities, has the opportunity to engage with and excel in mathematics!
