Unit Elaborations: Pop-Outs for Enrichment
The JCPS Science department have adapted several "Pop-Out" lessons that allow students to apply what they've learned in a unit to delve deeper into larger scientific considerations around diversity, equity, cultural responsiveness, and justice. They may be used at any point throughout the unit as the content is intertwined with, yet independent of, the unit concepts. Each "Pop-Out" is designed around our instructional framework and the 5E's. Each "Pop-Up" is designed to last 2-3 class periods.
