JCPS Advance Program

Welcome to the JCPS Advance Program Parent Site!

The JCPS Advance Program provides challenging schoolwork for academically high-achieving students in grades 4 - 12.

To join the program, students must meet certain academic criteria. The Advance Program is available at all JCPS schools, with the exception of Traditional Schools.

If you think your child is an academically high-achieving student in math, science, social studies, and/or Language Arts, talk to a school counselor about the JCPS Advance Program admittance criteria.

If your child attends a private or parochial school, will be enrolling in JCPS, and you would like information about the JCPS Advance Program admittance criteria, please email jcpsgifted@jefferson.kyschools.u2.

The JCPS Advance Program is separate from the College Board Advanced Placement for high school students.

If your child is enrolled in a JCPS school, reach out to the counselor at the assigned school for information regarding College Board Advanced Placement.
