Senior Expectations & Extra Events
(Please see the student handbook for additional expectations.)
As we prepare for a successful 26-27 senior year, please be sure to adhere to the following expectations to ensure your success to graduation and participation in all activities and extra events:
Graduation Completion:
Pass all courses, including all credit recovery courses
You must adhere to the RAIDER WAY Expectations
You must wear your student ID at all times
You must take all REQUIRED assessments (Civics Test, SAT, ACCESS, CERT, KYOTE, Industry Certs, End of Program)
Complete Journey to Success Artifacts & Senior Defense by May 7, 2027
Student diplomas will be held after graduation for all students who have not taken care of all remaining requirements including turning in the Yondr pouch or paying the replacement fee of $25.
Be present and accountable in Senior W.I.N. block
Remain aware of all assessments and graduation requirements
Request assistance from your counselor as needed regarding scholarship applications, job applications, college search support, FAFSA assistance, and any other support needed
Check your grades and school / personal email consistently throughout the year
All caps and gowns must be purchased by Friday, May 7, 2027.
Pay Senior Class Dues - $45 (Paid by Friday, May 7, 2027)
Activity and Extra Event Participation (Dances, Homecoming Court, Pep Rally, Prom, Senior Week):
All cohort 2027 graduating seniors must meet the following expectations in order to participate in all activities, including senior specific events.
Adhere to all school and district policies outlined in the student handbook and Student Support and Behavior Intervention Handbook.
Pass all courses including credit recovery classes and on track by Friday, May 7, 2027.
Any student who is not on track by Friday, May 7, 2027 may be ineligible to participate in walking in the graduation ceremony and must complete their graduation requirements during summer school by June 30, 2027.
Have no more than 12 cumulative unexcused absences to class or school. This includes tardiness and non-attendance to class (cutting class). If you must be absent for any reason, bring a parent or doctor’s note to the attendance clerk to account for an excused absence.
Have no more than 12 cumulative unexcused tardies to class.
Have more than 4 referrals for offenses other than tardies (2 per semester)
Suspension for any reason is not permitted ( Dr. Taul-Jackson is the only person able to override this decision.)
We want to provide all students with an enjoyable senior year experience. In order to do so, we must ensure that all students are accountable for the expectations we have outlined. We know that circumstances change and situations happen. Therefore, we encourage any student who needs support with meeting these expectations to contact their counselor, academy principal (AP), or principal (Dr. Taul-Jackson) for assistance and guidance.

**The FAFSA for the 27-28 School year will not be available until after October 1, 2026.
