PLEASE READ: All JCPS Employees must register through Vector to receive credit for GLEC sessions. GLEC will provide information to your district team. You can access Vector through your Office 365 (webmail) account.

Mandatory Advanced Topics K-14: Specially Designed Instruction- GLEC
1.5 hours PD or EILA
Participants will learn about three high-leverage practices that are proven effective for students with disabilities. High-leverage practices (HLP) are often used as specially designed instruction (SDI) in IEP development. This session will highlight explicit instruction, specific feedback, and active engagement strategies. Participants will observe models of the HLPs, and engage in small group discussions and hands-on activities to enrich their understanding.
Mandatory New Hire IEP Development Early Childhood - Grade 14- GLEC
6 hours PD
This ASYNCHRONOUS training focuses on developing compliant individual education programs (IEP) for students with disabilities. Participants will learn how to draft present levels that support the rest of the programming within IEP, and carefully craft programming around individual student needs.
Mandatory Diving into the FBA
1.5 hour PD or EILA

Mobile Assessment Practice Shift: Safe to Learn Safe to Teach
1 hour PD or EILA
Participants will complete a guided note while watching a brief video highlighting changes in district practice and resources that historically prompted mobile assessments. Next, participants will successfully complete a brief post-test. Success is defined as achieving a score greater than or equal to 80%. Finally, participants will upload their guided notes through the provided link. 1 hour of PD or EILA will be awarded upon successful completion of the post-test and uploading of the completed guided note. No partial credit will be given.
*Required for ARC Chairs, BCBA, Counselors, ECE Central Office Staff, ECE Implementation Coach, Mental Health Practitioners, Principals/Assistant Principals, and School Psychologists.
