Conducting Behavior Observations

Participants will learn the steps for completing a behavior observation as part of a student's evaluation. Participants will use a Google Form embedded with resources to help support writing a thorough behavior observation.
Mobile Assessment: Safe to Learn Safe to Teach

Participants will complete a guided note while watching a brief video highlighting changes in district practice and resources that historically prompted mobile assessments. Next, participants will successfully complete a brief post-test. Success is achieving a score greater than or equal to 80%. Finally, participants will upload their guided notes through the provided link. 1 hour of PD or EILA will be awarded upon successfully completing the post-test and uploading the completed guided note. No partial credit will be given.
*Required for ARC Chairs, BCBA, Counselors, ECE Central Office Staff, ECE Implementation Coach, Mental Health Practitioners, Principals/Assistant Principals, and School Psychologists.
The ABCs of PBIS

This brief training provides a pedagogical framework connecting four evidenced-based practices that improve school culture and climate. When combined, the priorities practices of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs), and Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines (CSTAG) provide school teams with the tools they need to create and maintain safe, equitable and inclusive learning environments for everyone.

A Virtual Adaptation of the 2019 FBA/BIP CAP TRAINING Participants will learn a reliable and efficient way to develop Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Practice Developing and Evaluating FBAs and BIPs using Kentucky Forms and the TATE (Technical Adequacy Tool for the Evaluation of FBAs and BIPs).
Note: This training requires a review and coaching/feedback on practices with Jim Feger, Behavior Consultant for GLEC.

At the end of this session, participants will be able to articulate the relevance of trauma to educators and the impact of trauma on school functioning. Participants will be able to identify and model writing trauma-informed Present Levels of Academic and Functional Performance as well as trauma-informed Individual Education Programming goals.

Successfully completing this brief, asynchronous professional learning will prepare participants to model, coach, and supervise the development of Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans aligned to the Technical Adequacy Tool for the Evaluation of FBAs and BIPs (TATE). Participants will be able to articulate three typical flaws of school-based FBAs, identify the benefits of applying the TATE when constructing FBAs and BIPs, and when conducting record reviews on existing FBAs and BIPs.
