Please take a look and always feel free to let us know if there is something that we are missing and need to add.
This year is winding down but we are going to finish strong.
Scroll through and explore the tabs we have on the fourth grade site! We use this as a replacement for paper newsletters. We do our best to update the blog post section below. You will also find important upcoming fun, assessment dates, what we are learning and so much more.
Dear Fourth Grade Families,
The end of the year is fast approaching with only April and May remaining. The students are doing great in the classroom despite all of the excitement of summer. Please continue to ask them if they need to complete work. Remember, they are responsible for the classwork missed when they are not in school.
In math, we are finishing up division and multiplication. We will be jumping between our last few math books. We want to introduce the students to as many of our math concepts as possible. Our focus will be on angles and geometry next. Math WIN groups are going well, and the students really enjoy this time of day.
In reading, we are reading a novel based in the 1920's and the 19th amendment. We are writing summaries, RACES paragraphs, and discussing a lot of new vocabulary. Students are strengthening their writing skills and using quotations to properly cite from a novel.
Sincerely,
Mr. Guest, Mrs. Vogel and Mrs. Brown
