This year is in full swing! We have accomplished so much already.
Scroll through and explore the tabs we have on the fourth grade site! We use this as a replacement for paper newsletters. We do our best to update the blog post section below. You will also find important upcoming fun, assessment dates, what we are learning and so much more.
Dear Fourth Grade Families,
The third marking period has had a rough start with all of our snow and NTI days. The students are doing great in the classroom despite all of the interruptions. Please continue to ask them if they need to complete work. Remember, they are responsible for the classwork missed when they are not in school.
In math, we are finishing up our place value unit. They will have a test on this unit on 2/5/2026. Then, we will begin with the concepts of multiplication and division and extend them to standard algorithms with multi-digit numbers. Math WIN groups are going well, and the students really enjoy this time of day.
In reading, we are using various articles and books to research the different perspectives of the colonists during the Revolutionary War. We are writing summaries, RACES paragraphs, and will end with an opinion paper. Students are strengthening their writing skills and using quotations to properly cite from an article.
Parent/Teacher/Student conferences will be on Tuesday, February 17. Please sigh up with your teacher when they post the link. We go outside most days, so please send your children with coats, hats, and gloves.
