Process Statement

I used Flipaclip to create my animation titled “The Goldfish in a Bowl.” I created it during the second week of December 2023 for Mr.Etter’s STLP class. I chose to do this project because during the COVID pandemic and NTI days I felt like an isolated fish in a bowl. I knew a group of fish is called a school, so similarly I was eager to return back to school to be with my classmates to learn more and explore things together. A fish that lives in a pond or river knows more tactics to survive, the same way I felt I wanted to be in school soon to learn and grow in a healthy way. First, I watched a Youtube video on how to animate my art using an app. Next, I thought about how I wanted my animation to look like. In the video, I learned more about the features in Flipaclip that I could use, like onion skin and the variety of different brushes.  Then, I started making my animation. Last, I added the finishing touches so that my animation would look good.  Some of the things I learned doing it are how to make my drawings look better using the cross technique, how to create good facial expressions, and how to make animation look both smooth and snappy.
