Recommendations* are due January 7th, 2025.  

*Recommenders will receive a digital form to complete once you submit your application - make sure you confirm the correct email address with your recommender.

The application is a 2 step process.  Both Steps must be completed by December 20, 2024.

The 2024-2025 application is a 2 part process:


Step 1: Apply online through the JCPS website.


Step 2: Submit duPont Manual Criteria

 (via the duPont Manual Application)


*If you selected a duPont Manual as a JCPS 2nd choice you will receive an email with the duPont Manual Application materials after all JCPS 1st choice duPont Manual/YPAS applications have been processed if seats are available.

*If you applied after December 20, 2024 additional information will be requested if needed, after on time applications have been processed.  

Manual Admissions Information

Applications will be reviewed through a process that evaluates achievement test scores, attendance, extra-curricular involvement, grades, personal essays, and recommendations. Application materials will be submitted via an online platform.  An audition is part of the admission process for YPAS students in addition to the completed online application and JCPS application

Recommendation links will be sent from: admissions@dupontmanual.com  No paper forms or letters will be accepted.

Prospective Student Experiences:

NON-JCPS Students only

Manual welcomes the opportunity to host 8th grade parochial, private, Anchorage, non-Jefferson County resident*, home-schooled or out-of-state students* through Prospective Student Experiences (formerly known as Shadowing).  This student only experience will include a tour of our campus and question-and-answer panel with current students.  It will provide the opportunity for prospective students from outside JCPS to explore all the school has to offer and highlight magnet-specific locations in our buildings.  They will also interact with our current students who will share their own experiences and answer magnet specific questions.

*Residency in Jefferson County is required for admission.  The prospective student experience is intended for families who are moving into JCPS prior to the start of the school year.
