Hello everyone! I am so excited to be the new mental health practitioner for Dixie Elementary this year! Like all of you, NTI is new to me and can sometimes be overwhelming, but I am confident we will all be able to get through it together, and I look forward to meeting with each of you. 😊
Most of you already know the importance of caring for your physical health, even when you aren't sick. Some of the ways we do this are through regular checkups with our doctor and dentist, eating healthy, spending time outdoors and exercising. But did you know keeping up with our mental health is equally important, and that children who are given regular opportunities to improve their mental, emotional and spiritual well-being are able to do better in the classroom?
