What is a Comprehensive School Counseling Program?
The mission of the school counseling program at Trunnell Elementary is to provide comprehensive data driven student support that grows every learner. Each student has access to an academic, social-emotional, and career development program that incorporates a supportive and caring environment. In partnership with educators, parents, and community members, or program advocates for equity for our diverse population.

Individual counseling
Small group counseling
Core Counseling (monthly whole class counseling)
Social/Emotional Development- managing emotions and applying interpersonal skills
Career development- understanding the connections between school and the world of work
Academic development- remove barriers to ensure all students in K-5 have an opportunity to develop academic goals reflecting their abilities and academic interests; while accessing appropriate and rigorous curriculum
