Principal's Message

Welcome to Carter Traditional Elementary School where we are the BEST IN THE WEST! My name is Dr. Whitney Hodge and I am honored to serve as the principal at Carter Traditional Elementary. 

As a collaborative leader, I believe in the importance of engaging students, their families, staff, and community partners in the academic success of students. You will notice very quickly that I love and welcome parent involvement as I work diligently to foster trust with all stakeholders. Our school community sets high expectations for teaching, learning, and behavior so that our Cubs are well-prepared for their middle school transition.  As an equity-centered leader, my goal is to empower our entire school community, increase learning opportunities for all students, and continue to build the culture and climate to ensure 

Carter is the place where all students want to be!
