School Counseling and Mental Health Resources

If you are interested in counseling supports at the school level we have many options available to you. Mrs. Travis and Mrs. Tompkins both provide collaborative supports (with teachers and parents), individual counseling, and group counseling. In addition, we have School Based Therapist from Seven Counties that supports students at our school.

Community Counseling and Mental Health Resources

    • Resources available 24/7 for emotional support:

      • If you are in Crisis (ANY painful emotion, for which you need support), text HOME to 741741. Within minutes, a crisis counselor will text you back to start a conversation.

      • If needed, you may call the Suicide Prevention Hotline @ 1-800-273-8255.

Seven Counties Services/Brooklawn Bellewood Programs

  • All locations and services running

  • Offering Telehealth Services

  • For emergencies, Crises and Information Center is open 24 hours a day @ 502-589-4313 or 800-221-0446

The Brook Hospital’s (Child & Adolescent Program) Updates:

  • Conducting face to face evaluations 24/7.

  • Teleassessments using the ZOOM applications 24/7

  • Inpatient acute, Extended Care and STAR Programs are fully operational for children and adolescents.

  • Adolescent Partial Hospitalization (ages 13-17) is currently open and running, however our Children’s (ages 5-12) Partial Hospitalization Program is currently not accepting referrals

UofL Health – Peace Hospital (children and adolescents in crisis)

  • Assessments: Face to face or via Zoom / Tele-health

  • Clients in crisis can be assessed for acute inpatient crisis stabilization or partial hospitalization treatment (Crossroads)

    • For the assessment, the client must be in a place of business (i.e., Seven Counties Services, CDW office); however, not at home due to safety and HIPAA concerns.

    • Assessments also face to face at Peace Hospital if they can get there safely.

  • Inpatient: Currently accepting new clients, both children and adolescents

However, the Innovations Program (intellectual and developmental delays ages 5-12 yr olds) unit for young children is suspended at this time due to illness (not Covid-19)
