I am excited to be part of a dedicated team of teachers and support staff who are committed to excellence in teaching and learning and have the highest expectations for all students. Our motto, “Every Child Matters,” reflects our mission to provide an educational foundation and environment that foster positive self-esteem and support learning in order to help our students become productive, responsible, caring members of society.

Alex R. Kennedy prides itself on using the most up-to-date curriculum available to students and staff. Our rigorous literacy curriculum, coupled with inquiry-based math and science programs, will maximize learning for greater academic success. We strive daily to create a school environment that enhances self-esteem, increases student achievement, and promotes joy in learning. At Alex R. Kennedy, we are proud of our students’ and staff’s accomplishments.

We work hand-in-hand with our Parent Teacher Association (PTA), developing educational partnerships with parents and our community. Our parents share in the success of their child through various activities, parent involvement, and helping with homework. Parents also have many opportunities to join in our celebration of learning as guest readers, classroom guests, homeroom parents, or volunteers at any of the many events that our school and the PTA host.
