During this time, all ARC meetings will be conducted through Google Meet. A meeting URL will be sent prior to the meeting for all ARC members to access the video chat. If a parent/guardian chooses to not partipate through video, over -the-phone meetings are perfectly acceptable.
If there are any questions about the implementation of your student's IEP goals or special education minutes, please direct your questions to my email.
My teachers have been working tiresly to ensure our students are provided with an equal opportunity to learn as their same-age peers. Flexibility is key during this time.

How will you ensure that gen. ed. and special education teachers have time for co-planning lessons for SWD?
Each Resource Teacher works with two different grade levels. The RT will reach out to their collaborating grades to understand when their team plannings will be. If there is any conflicting times, the RT will alternate between the two grade level plannings. The special class teachers will be on the same planning as each other to share ideas. Additionally, the LD special class teacher will reach out periodically to grades K, 3, and 5 to collaborate during their team plannings.
How can you provide co-teaching through alternative means, such as videos, Google Classroom, and other assignments?
Resource Teachers will collaborate in daily live lessons with the gen. ed teacher. The RT will use their Google Site to develop modified assignments that are aligned to the students’ abilities & IEP goals. Many of the assignments will be adapted from the gen. Ed google classroom. Each special ed. teacher will use their Google Site to upload video lessons that are modified for the specific learner.
How will you ensure that ARC meetings are scheduled around the availability of all participants, and allow time for IEP development?
Prior to the quarantine, all annual IEP ARC meetings were scheduled and meeting notices were sent home. The ECE Implementation coach will reach out once NTI has started to ensure those times and dates are still appropriate from all ARC members. For middle school transition meetings, the ECE Implementation Coach will reach out to the appropriate ARC members to schedule those meetings. As always, the ARC meeting will be scheduled well in advance (at least a week prior) and the school staff will be expected to have documents drafted 72 hours prior to the ARC.
What are expectations for progress monitoring and reporting?
Progress will consist of percentage correct collected during online lessons.
Progress Reports will continue concurrently with the issuance of report cards.
