About Mrs. Letendre:

Beth Schoening Letendre grew up in Valparaiso, IN where she began studying piano privately at the age of 8 and violin in the school orchestra at the age of 10. She developed a passion for music, joining youth symphonies, attending summer music camps, and eventually deciding to pursue a degree in music education with the goal of sharing her passion with a new generation of students.

She received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Valparaiso University and a Master of Music Education degree with emphasis in Suzuki pedagogy from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She has taught hundreds of students in both private studio and school orchestra settings.

Along with teaching, Mrs. Letendre is also a regular member of the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra and directs the adult choirs and handbells at her church in Wheat Ridge. She has performed throughout the United States, England, Wales, and China. She also enjoys reading, knitting, and gardening. Mrs. Letendre lives in the Lamar Heights neighborhood of Arvada with her husband and their three cats.
