Melissa Shute
Social Emotional Learning Specialist
Ms. Shute focuses on school wide initiatives and culture within the building. She works with individual students and small groups as needed. Ms. Shute is the staff sponsor for the No Place for Hate student coalition and the PRIDE club at WJMS. Ms. Shute also coordinates mental health services for students through Hazel Health and Resilience 1220.

Kim Elio
School Social Worker
Ms. Elio provides services to students with IEP’s, their parents and families, as well as school staff to help all students succeed. She works closely with the Learning Specialist team, including parents, to help students build independence, executive functioning skills, social skills, increase perspective, and access academics through the IEP process.

Brooke Murray
Gifted and Talented SELC
Brooke Murray is the Gifted and Talented Social Emotional Learning Counselor. She uses data driven counseling resources to support the unique social and emotional need of our GT students. She implements whole classroom interventions, small group guidance and short-term individualized counseling.
