SNACKS

Third Graders will be provided time during the afternoon to eat a (tree nut free) snack brought from home. Snacks need to brought in daily in a snack pack sized container or bag. Candy will not be allowed.

WATER BOTTLES

Third Graders are encouraged to bring a LEAK PROOF water bottle every day (cups with straws are not allowed) and have access to the water bottle filler. If third graders do not bring a water bottle, they are more than welcome to use the water fountain throughout the day. Water bottles are sent home daily to be cleaned. No other drinks (juice box/pouch, Starbucks, etc) are allowed into the classroom.

SMART PHONES/WATCHES

Per DISTRICT safety and privacy policy, third graders will not be allowed to bring mobile phones OR smart watches into the classroom, but are allowed to remain in backpacks. If any problems arise, students will be asked to leave devices at the office each morning and you can pick them up at the end of each day.

BIRTHDAYS

Per DISTRICT guidelines, birthday treats and gifts are not permitted. We celebrate birthdays with songs and good wishes!

SHOELACES

WE do NOT tie shoelaces...if your third grader is unable to independently tie his/her shoelaces, we recommend buckle, slip on or velcro. Untied shoelaces can be dangerous and gross.

HOMEWORK

Here at Witt, we value your commitments outside of school. We do strongly encourage you and your Third Grader to find time to READ!
