Mr. Auer was born in Boulder and lives in Morrison where he and his wife of 30 years have a horse, two goats, two dogs, and cat. Mr. Auer has three adult children who attended Jeffco schools. Mr. Auer taught in California, Arizona, and Colorado before accepting a position as an administrator for the City of Denver's Head Start program that served 1300 children and their families. He retired from the program in 2024 as the Assistant Director with a goal of returning to classroom teaching. Mr. Auer has also served as affiliate faculty at Regis University in the school of education, and a ski coach/instructor. Mr. Auer and his wife enjoy hiking, skiing, traveling, paddle boarding, and spending time with family. Mr. Auer holds a BA and MA degree from Santa Clara University where he met his wife.
Ms. Alt is a native of Colorado. She went to Colorado State University and got her degree in Exercise and Sport Science. After working in the field for 10 years, she decided to stay home with her kids. While her kids were in elementary school, she worked in an Autism Spectrum Disorder program on the side and fell in love with special education. She pursued her Masters in Special Education from Regis University and graduated in May 2017. She has been at Westridge for eight years now, going on her ninth. She enjoys traveling, hiking, playing tennis, and most of all, spending time with her family and dogs. Heather's oldest will be starting his senior year at Colorado State University this year and her daughter is taking a gap year, living at home, and working.
