Watch D.O.G.S. is a program that helps bring dads and other positive male role models into the school. Dads spend a day at their child's school and get to interact alongside the educators, to help as crossing guards, hallway monitors, library assistants, lunchroom helpers, classroom and homework tutors, and playground and gymnasium coaches. The possibilities are endless.
Remember to arrive in the office around 7:15 in order to get your Watch DOG picture taken with your student(s), and grab your safety vest, stop sign and walkie talkie before you head to crosswalk duty. Your student(s) may not be in the crosswalk with you. Have them wait on the grass nearby.
Watch Dogs serve as support and added security at our crosswalks before and after school and in our halls throughout the school day. Our goal is for every dad to sign up for at least one day to volunteer as a Watch Dog at Westridge each year. You may signup using the monthly sign up calendar link below. We will then add you to the school calendar sign up in the front entryway.
