WEB is a program designed to help 6th graders transition to middle school by having 8th grade students serve as mentors, called WEB Leaders. The foundation of this program is the belief that students can help other students succeed.
There are a number of activities that will happen in our WEB Program throughout the school year. Check out the information below and our 6th Graders & Families page for more details!
Sixth graders will participate in Orientation on their first day of school. This is a time for new North Arvada Knights to meet their WEB Leaders and each other. Students will engage in some fun whole-group activities with the adult WEB Coordinators, then will break into small groups for team-building activities with their WEB Leaders. This day is all about fun and getting to know each other!
WEB Leaders will follow-up with their WEB groups several times throughout the year. 6th graders will notice their WEB Leaders wearing special WEB Leader t-shirts on the first day of school so they can be easily identified if a student has questions or needs help with something. Specially scheduled activities for WEB groups and their Leaders will be announced throughout the year. These activities could include WEB Leaders joining their 6th graders for lunch, visiting 6th grade PRIDE classes to teach lessons on school success skills, and we may even schedule special socials only for 6th graders and their WEB Leaders!
