Business Source Premier - Find news articles related to your specific type of business.
When to use: If you need to find research on a specific field, such as fashion or restaurant business. You can find information on the industry and what factors influence it.
Colorado Grants Guide - Database of funders that support Colorado-based companies
When to use: If you want to look up possible donors to help support your business. This is a fairly robust site and may seem overwhelming to search. Before diving into it, make sure you know specifically what area of business you want to find grants for.
Demographics Now - A database for geographic business intelligence research. Provides information to help businesses with marketing their services, identifying new customers or sales territories, and learning about competitors. Produce high-quality reports with maps and charts representing the data.
When to use: This would be a great place to go if you have developed a business plan is, but need to know your target demographic, develop your plan around this demographic, create charts and data to support your plan. For example, if you want to know which state sells the most cakes for your baking business, you can search these statistics.
LinkedIn Learning - Video courses taught by industry professionals.
When to use: Learn how to become a small business owner from the basics of writing your business model and developing a business plan to working through the legal process of setting up a corporate entity.

When to use: If you need to research information about the nature of work, working conditions, training and education, earnings, and job outlook for hundreds of different occupations in the United States.
Reference Solutions-Find potential competitors, partners, customers, or donors. Access information on 24 million US businesses and 260 million consumers.
When to use: Find information and statistics on businesses, conduct job searches, sales leads, new business opportunities, find key business people contact information, analyze competitors.
Small Business Builder/Business Plan - Step by step planning tool for developing your own business (you have to create a separate login for this). No longer at JCPL, hopefully, they will bring it back.
When to use: If you need help brainstorming for your new business this is a fun tool to help guide you through the process of developing a business plan.
