About Me: I grew up in Massachusetts, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and served for 5 years as a Lieutenant and Captain in the Army at Ft Carson, CO. I loved Colorado, so after leaving the Army, I moved to Denver, worked for Citicorp as a manager and Vice President in Global Business Development and Technology for 13 years, and earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Denver. In 2001, I obtained a teaching certificate from Colorado Christian University, and I have been teaching math in Jeffco for 22 years, and at Chatfield for 18 years. My husband is also a Jeffco teacher - he teaches the EMT course at Warren Tech, and we have 3 children - all Chatfield grads - Danny is a 2014 CU Boulder graduate and a paramedic/firefighter with South Metro Fire, Matt is a 2016 U.S. Air Force Academy graduate, and a Captain and pilot stationed at Laughlin Air Force Base, and Kristi is a 2017 Western State graduate, and a PE Teacher at Red Rocks and West Jeff Elementary Schools. My 4th child is a 7 year old miniature schnauzer named Zoey. In my spare time I love hiking, camping, skiing, and just about anything in the Colorado Outdoors.
